June 27, 2017:
The conference program is taking final shape. It shows 9 Plenary Orals, a special Plenary with 6 Young Scientists pitching their research, 199 regular orals, 927 poster presentations, and on the Friday 5 Technical Visits. In addition 48 Exhibitors will present their products and 13 Sponsors are supporting MT25.
We noticed that only 20% of the registrants take the extra lunch pack, which is a pity. Note that lunch time is short and going to restaurants outside the center takes time. For this reason we advice to use the Lunch Tickets option and enjoy a high quality buffet type lunch in the conference center. Note that MT25 is subsidizing the lunch cost with a significant 25% share.
Student Support is still available. Please send a motivated request to email@example.com and it will be handled on a first come first serve basis.
Traveling to Amsterdam and the Conference site should be easy, and you may enjoy the services of KLM-Air France.
On behalf of the International Organising Committee it is a great pleasure for us to invite you to the 25th International Conference on Magnet Technology in 2017 from August 27 to September 1 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
It is the first time that an MT conference is hosted in the Netherlands and for this event we have chosen the capital city of Amsterdam and its RAI Congress Center, both a natural and perfect choice for this event. The conference organization is a joint effort of the Applied Superconductivity and Cryogenics Laboratory at the University of Twente and the High Field Magnet Laboratory at the Radboud University Nijmegen.
The city of Amsterdam unites a vivid ambiance, a very rich cultural scenery with world famous museums, theaters and concert halls, a large variety of restaurants and pubs, and of course a lovely and historic city center with its unique setting of canals, bridges and Dutch alleys. Its compactness also means that travelling is easy with all means, but we recommend you to enjoy city and its people more intensively by using the dense network of public transport (bus, tram or metro), by rental bike or simply by foot.
We highly appreciate the long lasting collaboration with IEEE. Your papers, when accepted after peer review, will be published in the IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity.
We are confident that MT25 will meet your expectations by offering an inspiring platform for scientists, engineers and vendors in the field of magnet technology to meet, discuss and share the latest results. We look forward to warmly welcome you in Amsterdam on August 2017.
